Birthday card inspired by Codex Manesse, a medieval book of love songs. The codex was written and illustrated in Germany between c. and c. for the Manesse family. This illustration is called Herr Reinmar der Fiedler (Reinmar the Fiddler). There are also two women in the picture, but I picked out the sweet and kind looking fiddler and also asked him to play a medieval song for the ‘birthday child’. The medieval song is full of hope: Wind is thin sun warm the earth overflows with good things After that comes the birthday greeting: Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Susanna and Robert Personalize the postcard simply by typing over the example texts.
